Once upon I was in Venice, I stayed for a few days in a 2-star hostel. It was low-cost, but also very very low quality. I think it’s important, when you visit a city, where the accomodation is located, but also how is it. After long walking to see St. Mark’s basilica, or facing the cold weather to have a wonderful Gondola Ride, when you come back to your hotel you NEED a nice room, with all comforts.In Rome, I had an hotel just nearby the Vatican, but the best for this were the rates. I think is fundamental don’t spend too much money for sleeping..because when I go round for holiday, I like to see the citylife, breath the way people live there, stay outside as long as possible. So, I look for something cheap and suitable at the same time, and I find it. 5star hotels at more than reasonable prices. I swear, it’s truth!
